Coach James was starting to sweat. The community young men’s baseball team he managed had been on a cold streak lately. And to add more pain to the losses piling up in the standings, the team’s star pitcher was out for the year with a serious groin injury.
Then suddenly out of nowhere a five-star recruit named Jack moved into the city and was immediately signed to the team. The very next afternoon, Jack attended his first practice and really wowed his teammates- especially the coaches.
Jack stayed on the practice field long after the majority of the other boys had hit the showers and gone home.
